This is the TP20 Non-Inhibit (NI) Probe Kit 6 #A-1371-0645. It includes two extended force (EF) modules. The non-inhibit probe body does not include the magnetic proximity switch and so can be used for any application, including those where strong magnetic fields are present.
The TP20 is a compact module changing touch-trigger probe. The two-piece design, comprising of a probe body and detachable stylus module(s), allows the use of a range of stylus configurations and extensions to access features on complex parts. Modules can be changed manually or automatically without the need for requalification of the stylus tip.
The TP20 NI Probe body is not affected by magnetic fields and the probe trigger must be inhibited through software during change cycles using the MCR20
The extended force probe module is identified by a brown cap. Typically, this probe module will only be required with large stylus assemblies and where spurious triggers caused by machine vibration and acceleration preclude the use of either the standard or medium force probe modules. The extended force probe module has the following recommended stylus limits:
- Any stylus type up to 60 mm long
- Star and cranked styli up to 20 mm offset
