The OTS is a new optical transmission tool setter for vertical and horizontal machining centers. Modeled on the TS27R, OTS can set tool length and diameter of rotating tools and perform broken
tool detection. OTS is available in two configurations – one with 1/2 AA batteries and the other with AA batteries. This allows the use of the same battery type in the OTS as that of the spindle probe.
OTS can be used with the OMI‑2, OMI‑2T or OMM-2/OSI interface. OMI-2T or OMM-2/OSI must be used if OTS is to be paired with another optical transmission probe.
