This is the MP15 hard-wired probe #A-2116-1802. It is used on small CNC machines with limited Z travel and manual tool changing. The probe is mounted in the machine spindle with the signal transmission cable connected to the machine control. With the MP15, the illuminated LED switches off every time the probe stylus contacts the work piece.
